MyTalent turns a child’s activities into a talent portfolio that maps their strengths and weak spots. Working inside the core team since 2023, I shipped features straight into the live Laravel app: ST30 strength mapping, talent CV and achievement records, and Kelas Bakat talent classes with upcoming sessions and Google Calendar links. 860+ of the repo’s commits are mine.

ABhome MyTalent is a Laravel 8 platform where members, teachers, and partner institutions track a child’s activities and build a talent profile from them. It has five roles: members, teachers, institution contacts, assistants, and admins. I joined the team in January 2023 and shipped features into the app until August 2025.

The problem

MyTalent had been in development since 2021 when I joined, and its first production deploy followed in July 2023. Several developers committed to the same codebase, so each feature had to fit flows other people owned and keep working once members and institutions were using it.

What I built

  • ST30 strength mapping (January–March 2023): each participant gets seven strength areas, which the rest of the program builds on.
  • Talent CV (October 2023–January 2024): education, experience, and achievement records with file uploads. Admins accept a CV or send it back for correction, and each review note is logged.
  • Kelas Bakat talent classes (January 2024–May 2025): the data model, adding, editing, and deleting classes in modals, an upcoming-sessions list with Google Calendar links, and class dashboards for teachers and institution contacts.

Result

All three modules run in the live app. 867 of the repository’s ~2,200 commits are mine.
